A police vehicle was hit by a huge blast while passinig by the Ten-Eyed Bridge in Amed's central Yenişehir district Wednesday evening.

Four people reported to be civilians have died in the blast and 9 policemen were wounded, including one seriously. These have been taken to various hospitals in the city.

The civilians who lost their lives in the blast are reported to have been travelling in a civilian car near the targeted police vehicle. Bodies of the four people have been taken to Selahattin Eyyubi Public Hospital's morgue.

Police forces have taken intense security measures in the area and blocked access to the scene.

According to the related statement of Diyarbakır Governor's Office, 5 civilians have died and 12 people including 5 policemen were wounded in the blast. Those wounded have been taken under treatment in hospitals.
