Bodies of 282 martyred Kurdish fighters not given to families

The Turkish state’s enmity towards the dead bodies of Kurds continues. 282 bodies of Kurdish fighters who were martyred during clashes were not given to their families and were buried in cemeteries of the nameless instead.

282 bodies belonging to HPG, YPS and YPS-JIN members who lost their lives at various times in Northern Kurdistan have been buried cemeteries of the nameless in 12 cities.

The burial took place in a rush without waiting for the results of blood samples given by families for identification. On the other hand, 28 bodies, for which DNA results have been received, have not been given to families either.

18 bodies were buried in cemetery of the nameless in Amed, 12 in Mardin, 20 in Antep, 47 in Khabur, 16 in Cizre, 13 in Şırnak, 51 in Erzurum, 27 in Malatya, 1 in Elazığ, 7 in Van, 14 in Bitlis, 3 in Sivas, 25 in Nusaybin and 28 in Urfa.
