Civilian killed alongside 3 Kurdish women identified

Civilian killed by state forces alongside 3 Kurdish woman politicians in Şırnak's Silopi district on Monday, has been identified as 20-year-old İslam Atak.

Civilian killed by state forces alongside 3 Kurdish woman politicians in Şırnak's Silopi district on Monday, has been identified as 20-year-old İslam Atak.

On 4 January evening, state forces executed DBP Assembly member Sêvê Demir, Silopi People's Assembly co-chair Pakize Nayır and KJA activist Fatma Uyar. One other civilian killed with them had remained unidentified so far due to a heavy disintegration of his body which could be identified only today.

According to an autopsy report, Atak was shot by 8 bullets while 3 highly deformed metal objects were found in his the body.

The youth's body was taken to Silopi State Hospital earlier today and later taken to a cold storage depot at Khabur border crossing.
