Clash erupted between peshmerga forces and the Iraqi army and affiliated Hashd al-Shaabi (Popular Mobilization Units) in Makhmur town of Mosul.

Reports suggest that peshmerga and Iraqi forces exchange fire on their positions. Many residents of the town are reportedly heading to the Makhmur (Rûstem Cûdî) Refugee Camp.
