The clashes that broke out after ISIS gang groups’ attack on Kirkuk city center around 03:00 this morning continue.

Clashes had broken out in Kürkuk when ISIS gang groups carried out simultaneous attacks on the Police Headquarters, Governorate and Domis Asayish buildings around 03:00 this morning. The first ISIS attack took place when suicide bombers blew themselves up, and intense clashes have been taking place between the gangs and Kirkuk Asayish forces.
Asayish forces took control of the old police headquarters and the governorate buildings, and intense clashes continue near an old hotel and a mosque in the Tisîn û Huzeyran neighborhood. Local sources report that Asayish forces requested the help of guerilla units in the area, and the guerillas are arriving at the site of the clashes.
As the clashes in domis and Hey Eskeri neighborhoods continue, the gangs carried out another attack on Kirkuk’s Dıbız district. Asayish forces are reported to have repelled the gangs’ attack on Dıbız.
ISIS gangs had also attacked the Muccamma Yermuk, Newafil and Meryem Beg villages of Kirkuk’s Tılswerde district earlier today.
