Lawyer Dilber Uzunköprü, co-mayor of Esendere town in Hakkari's Yüksekova district, was taken into custody during a house raid by police forces.

Police also raided and conducted a raid in Uzunköprü's law bureau.

The co-mayor, detained on alleged grounds of “membership to a terrorist organisaion”, was taken to Yüksekova police headquarters.
