Community Peacemaker Teams: 11 civilians killed by Turkey in South Kurdistan in 2023

Community Peacemaker Teams said that 11 people were killed in 2023 as the result of Turkish attacks on South Kurdistan.

Community Peacemaker Teams (CPT) in Iraq spoke to RojNews and said that 11 people were killed in 2023 as the result of Turkish attacks on South Kurdistan.

CPT member Cameran Osman said that 24 citizens were either killed or injured in the attacks carried out by the Turkish state in South Kurdistan last year.

Osman added that 7 civilians lost their lives in attacks carried out by Turkish armed drones, 3 citizens lost their lives in attacks carried out by warplanes, and one citizen lost his life as a result of a mine explosion.

According to the CPT, 5 citizens lost their lives and 3 citizens were injured in Duhok in 2023, while in Hewlêr, 1 citizen lost his life and 8 citizens were injured. In the city of Sulaymaniyah, 5 citizens lost their lives and 2 citizens were injured.
