Bitlis Governorate has declared a curfew in 11 neighborhoods and villages of the city. The curfew went into effect as of 00:01 December 5 and will remain in place until a further notice from 16:00 to 07:00 every day.

The areas involved in the curfew are; Ilıcak village, Oğulcak village, Aşağıölek village, Yukarıölek village, Çalıdüzü village, İçgeçit village, Akçalı village, Bölükyazı village, Çayır neighborhood, Govan neighbourhood and Kürtler neighbourhood.
