Curfew has been declared in five villages and affiliated hamlets in Dersim's Ovacık district after Turkish military bombarded the rural areas 1 km to Ovacık center throughout last night.

The related statement by Tunceli Governorate stated that a curfew has been imposed in Ovacık's Yenisöğüt, Çemberlitaş, Otlubahçe, Yoğunçam and Aşağıtorunoba villages and affiliated hamlets "for the people's safety of life and property during the ongoing military operations in Ovacık countryside".

Accordingly, the curfew begun as of 09:30 on October 22 and will remain in force until a further notice.
