Workers’ protest demonstrations continue in Southern Kurdistan for the 9th consecutive day.
Public servants including teachers and health workers have been taking to the streets across Bashure (Southern) Kurdistan for 9 days in protest at the government that does not pay their salaries.
Protests continue in Hewler, Sulaymaniyah, Germiyan, Rania, Kifri, Halabja and several other central locations.
Demonstrators are chanting slogans calling on the government and “thieves” to resign.
Workers say the government claims that “salaries will be paid soon” in order to end the demonstrations, vowing that they will be out on the streets until they get their rights.
