Kurdistan Human Rights Association issued its August report on the human rights violations in East (Rojhilat) Kurdistan, and highlighted the regime’s executions and massacres in the region. The organization stated that 34 Kurdish prisoners, including the Kurdish political prisoner Mihemed Abdullahi in Urmiye Prison, were executed in August.

Aydın Teymurpur, another political prisoner, was accused of smuggling drugs and executed in Selmas Prison. Many people were arrested, and the aftermath of 32 people that had been detained for various reasons remains unknown. 270 workers were fired from their jobs, and the mistreatment and torture of Kurdish political prisoners continue.

'BORDER TRADERS MASSACRED'

In its report, Kurdistan Human Rights Association criticized the regime forces’ massacre of border traders, and stated that 5 such traders were massacred and tens of others were injured during the month of August.

The association also underlined the cases of homicide and suicide, and said that women and children are the primary targets of the regime’s oppression.
