Erciş co-mayor Diba Keskin and HDP co-chair Şevval Çadırcı, who were detained two days ago following the declaration of self-rule by local people, were both remanded in custody.

Both administrators in Erciş district of Van have been sent to Bitlis E Type Closed Prison on alleged grounds of “intervening the indivisible integrity of the state”.

On the other hand, police forces have raided the house of DBP Van provincial co-chair Hamiyet Şahin's house in Bahçıvan neighborhood of Van's central İpekyolu district Wednesday afternoon.

Şahin was not found home, upon which police teams left the area.
