Families give blood samples for guerrillas martyred in Amed

Families have given DNA samples to receive the mortal remains of the six female guerrillas who were martyred in the air strikes carried out by the Turkish state in the Lice district of Amed.

On April 29, six female guerrillas were martyred in an air-supported operation launched on April 27 by the Turkish state in Akçabudak (Zengesor) neighbourhood of Lice district, in Amed (Diyarbakır) province.

The mortal remains of guerrilla fighters Suna Taş (Nujîn Amed), Aynur Ulugana (Besê), Latife Hanibi, Dilan Silinsin and two other guerrillas whose names could not be identified remain for autopsy at Gazi Yaşargil Training and Research Hospital in Amed.

The families of Ulugana, Taş and Silinsin came to Amed on May 17 and applied to the Lice Prosecutor's Office on May 20 to receive the bodies of their relatives.

The prosecution requested blood samples from family members for DNA testing. Blood samples were given at Lice State Hospital on the same day. The families are waiting for DNA test results to be released.
