While the operation that the Turkish army launched in Cudi and Gabar mountains (Şırnak) continues, an artillery attack was launched in the Besta Region, hitting the people living in tents.
Bedri Günbay, who was living in Besta and was forced to leave with more than 10 members of his family, told about how they have put up tents in the region. He added they are trying to go to the highlands, but they are faced with artillery attacks.
Koçer Günbay said: "This is the highest peak of Şırnak. The military operation does not reach this spot, but the artillery does. The Turkish army is killing our animals. We have close to 30 thousand animals here. We have many families. Three of my animals - he added - were killed by artillery fire. Many others were wounded. We actually make our living out of animals. Now they are killing them too. We cannot be safe, the artillery attacks must stop”.
