Families of three Kurdish woman politicians killed in Silopi stated that they will not reclaim the bodies of their children until bodies of 2 youths killed in Şırnak 2 days ago are given to their families.

DBP Assembly member Sêvê Demir, Silopi People's Assembly co-chair Pakize Nayır and KJA activist Fatma Uyar and one youth near them were killed by state forces in Şırnak's Silopi district on Monday. Death of three women was revealed only after the bodies of four slain civilians were brought to Silopi State Hospital on Tuesday. Bodies were later sent to Şırnak State Hospital and underwent autopsy which revealed that all had been shot by multiple bullets.

Families of three women, HDP deputies and KJA members have gathered outside Şırnak State Hospital where the bodies are being held at the moment. Family of 19-year-old Çetin Taşar killed in Şırnak's Bahçelievler neighborhood 2 days ago was also present.

Families of three Kurdish politicians said they will not receive the bodies of their children until the retrieval of bodies of two youths from the street where they were killed in Şırnak's Dicle neighborhood 2 days ago, and until the siege in Cizre and Silopi towns is ended.

KJA activist Fatma Uyar's brother Mesut Uyar was the first to speak at the press conference which was also joined by HDP deputies Nursel Aydoğan, Leyla Birlik, İbrahim Ayhan and Adem Geveri, as well as HDK co-spokesperson Sebahat Tuncel and KJA Spokesperson Ayla Akat Ata.

Uyar said; “It is not clear how many people have been killed in Sur, Silopi and Cizre. All those people are my brothers and sisters. We are 5 siblings and we all are ready to sacrifice our life for this cause. We will never give up this struggle until Mr. Öcalan is freed.”

Speaking after, DBP Assembly member Seve Demir's cousin Mehmet Şakir Demir said; "We came to hospital to receive the bodies but our conscience didn't allow us to do so once we saw the situation here. Body of a 12-year-old girl has just been brought here and she cannot be buried either. We will not reclaim the bodies as long as the siege continues."

Silopi People's Assembly co-chair Pakize Nayır's uncle Celalettin Nayır said they are also of the same opinion with other families and will not get the bodies until all are retrieved from streets and enabled burial.
