Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) former MP for Ağrı, Mehmet Emin İlhan, HDP Party Assembly (PM) member and lawyer Olcay Öztürk, Human Rights Association (IHD) executive and lawyer Vural Kaya, Ağrı former deputy co-mayor and HDP PM member Halef Keklik and former municipal council member Filiz Sarı had been detained in political genocide operations in Ağrı province three days ago.
Ağrı former deputy co-mayor and HDP PM member Halef Keklik was referred to court and remanded in custody yesterday for ”membership to a terrorist organisation”.
Former HPD MP Mehmet Emin İlhan, HDP PM member Olcay Öztürk, IHD executive Vural Kaya and former municipal council member Filiz Sarı were also referred to court on Thursday.
While Sarı and Kaya were released on condition of judicial control, HDP Party Assembly member lawyer Olcay Öztürk and former deputy Mehmet Emin İlhan have been jailed for alleged ”membership to a terrorist organisation”.
