Eight officials from the Democratic Regions’ Party (DBP) who had been taken into custody in Urfa’s Siverek district on February 20, were referred to court.
While four of the detainees were released on condition of judicial control, Abdullah Akdoğan, Tahsin Yoldaş, Cengiz Yoldaş and Kamil Devebakan were remanded in custody over their social media posts, accused of “spreading propaganda for a terrorist organisation”.
