12 people who were taken into custody during house raids carried out three days ago in the scope of the investigation against Democratic Society Congress (DTK), have been referred to court on Friday.
HDP Amed provincial executive Edip Binbir, HDP former provincial executive Çiğdem Ekti, Mekiye Güzel and DİK (Democratic Islamic Congress) member Emin Ay were remanded in custody for alleged membership to a terrorist organisation. The other detainees were released on condition of judicial control and a ban on leaving the country.
Detention period for HDP Sur Council member Ömer Filitoğlu has been extended till Monday, while DİK member Mele (İmam) Naif Erdem and Hüseyin Kaya were released after giving their statements.
