State forces continue to target civilians upon a continued failure to break the popular resistance in Şırnak's Cizre district where an onslaught continues for 37 days.

21-year-old Orhan Tunç and an unidentified child were shot and wounded during last night's aggression on Cudi neighborhood. They are still waiting for an ambulance to get there and respond them.

Serhat Altun, an university student who came to Cizre in solidarity with the people before the beginning of the latest curfew, also got wounded as a result of attacks by state forces earlier today. Altun was reportedly trying to help a wounded child when he was shot.

In Dağkapı neighborhood which is also targeted by Turkish military and police forces, today's aggression has left a mentally disabled civilian wounded, who has been taken to Cizre State Hospital.

HDP Şırnak deputy Faysal Sarıyıldız, who himself is in Cizre together with the people, stated that neither the district governorship nor police directorate enabled the referral of the wounded civilians to hospital despite all the efforts they are making in this regard. HDP deputy said; "Health staff waits for an approval by police that persistently hinders ambulance access into the neighborhood. In some cases, police allow people only to carry the wounded to the downtown, but those people are also targeted by gunfire once they go out. Many people got shot and injured while carrying the wounded."

Sarıyıldız added that an ambulance tried to enter the neighborhood yesterday but had to turn back without reaching the wounded as it was also targeted by state forces with gunfire three times.
