Dicle News Agency (DIHA) reporters Selami Aslan and Mehmet Sıddık Damar and Women's News Agency (JINHA) reporters Esra Aydın and Ceylan Eraslan were subject to an ID check as they covered the incidents in Mardin's Nusaybin district after the lifting of the curfew.

The four journalists were released after the ID check but they were stopped by the same policemen once again a while later.

The reporters asked “Are we in custody?”, to which police answered “We don't know” before taking all of them to the district police directorate.
