Updated reports from Silvan district of Amed reveal further details regarding the consequences of the military aggression in the district where all means of communication had been blocked during the course of the 12-day curfew.
It came out that the curfew and onslaught in the district had claimed another civilian life two weeks ago.
According to fresh reports, civilian Latif Nangir (78) also lost his life on 6 November, three days after the imposition of a curfew in Tekel, Mescit and Konak neighborhoods.
The man's wife Behiye Nangir (68) told that their house was among the many that were targeted and demolished during the offensive of state forces.
Behiye Nangir said her husband fell sick in the house amid intense and random gunfire, telling; “I tried to take him to hospital by myself but they (referring to state forces) fired on us at Kaniya Dergê. A bomb fell and exploded near us, after which my husband fell faint at the scene. The people around helped me take him to Silvan Hospital from which he was referred to Diyarbakır Gazi Yaşargil Training and Research Hospital. A doctor there told me that he died of a brain damage.”
Nangir added that her husband was laid to rest in another village by the name of Kayadere (Ferhend) due to the continued curfew and onslaught.
With Nangir's death, the number of civilians killed by state forces in Silvan during the 12 days of the curfew, has risen to 9.
