Goran Movement has strongly reacted to Kurdistan Regional President Nechirvan Barzani's decision to discharge four ministers from position. New proxy officials have been appointed to replace these four ministers.
'THE DECISION IS NOT LEGITIMATE'
Goran Movement Spokesman Mihemed Tofîq Rehîm said Kurdistan Regional President has made this unlawful and illegitimate decision without the approval of the Parliament.
"KDP is sorting a wrongdoing out by another wrongdoing, and this has an influence on the current state of affairs in democratic aspect. The people of South Kurdistan took to the streets on October 3 in protest at the political crisis among parties, for which they held the Regional Government and the KDP responsible. KDP offices were set on fire in many cities and towns and boycotts began in many areas.”
Noting that five people, including a 12-year-old child, lost their lives during these protests, Rehîm said KDP ignored this reaction of the society and accused the Goran Movement for the happenings. He recalled that KDP furthermore hindered Parliamentary President Dr. Yusuf Mihemed from entering Hewlêr on October 10, who was therewith suspended from position virtually.
