Grave of Hacı Birlik also ruined by state forces in Şırnak

Turkish state forces that razed a large part of the Şırnak city during the 8 months of onslaught have also ruined the grave of Lokman Hacı Birlik.

After the curfew in effect in Şırnak city since March 14 was partially lifted today, residents returned the city to be appalled by the ruins left by state forces during 8 months of an all-out war.

While a large part of the city is seen razed to the ground, it came out that graves of locals were also targeted by the attacks of state forces.

Turkish police and military forces ruined the grave of Hacı Lokman Birlik, who was executed in Şırnak and whose body was later dragged on streets behind an armored police vehicle in October, 2015, and the graves of his family members.

Almost all the graves in Cumhuriyet neighborhood are also demolished.
