The remains of Ömer Duran (Rêzan Mardin), 39, who was one of the three guerrillas who fell during clashes in Dersim countryside on 6 May, were taken by his family from the Forensic Medicine Institute on 12 May.
The family buried the body on the same day at the cemetery in Dargeçit district of Mardin. Police surrounded the graveyard and prevented people from joining the funeral ceremony.

It was learned that the Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs issued a statement on 14 August 2018 to inform that HPG guerrilla Duran had lost his life. The media circulated the report as 'flash' news.
