Guerrillas destroy a Turkish tank in Çukurca

1 tank of the Turkish army was destroyed and 2 soldiers were killed as a result of an action by HPG/YJA Star guerrillas near Martyr Zeki hill in Çukurca.

HPG Press Office has released a statement regarding the ongoing actions by guerrillas and attacks by the Turkish army.

The statement reported that guerrillas hit the Turkish soldiers engaged in road construction in Govendê and Bêgaltê areas in Hakkari's Yüksekova district at 13:50 on November 23. The number of soldiers killed or wounded here couldn't be clarified.

At 15:20 on November 23, YJA Star guerrillas hit the soldiers travelling from Zeytê outpost to Dola Zeytê area. One military vehicle was damaged in the action and the number of wounded soldiers couldn't be verified.

At 08:30 on November 23, guerrillas hit a tank and a group of soldiers near Martyr Zeki hill in Hakkari's Çukurca district. The tank was destroyed, 2 soldiers were killed and 1 other was wounded as a result of the action.

On the other hand, Turkish fighter jets bombarded the Ergenê passage in Garê area of Medya Defense Zones in South Kurdistan territory at 20:00 on November 23.

HPG noted that the operation launched by Turkish army in Şırnak's Besta area on November 21 was retreated without yielding results at 05:00 on November 24, today.

HPG added that Turkish army has started an operation in Şırnak's Cudi area.
