People’s Defense Forces (HPG) Press Office released a statement announcing the results of a sabotage action carried out by guerrillas against a newly built military station in the area of Dadare in Şırnak’s Silopi district on April 14.
Accordingly, a guerrilla unit entered the military compound. Effective strikes left a counter-guerrilla member dead and a large number of soldiers wounded.
After the action, the Turkish army removed the dead and injured soldiers from the area in armoured vehicles. The guerrilla unit that carried out the action reached its base area unharmed, said the HPG statement.
Airstrikes on Qandil and Xakurke
Regarding the recent Turkish army air raids on the Medya Defense Zones, the press office of HPG reports that Turkish jets bombed the areas of Hill Hiwa, Hill Sheikh Nasır, Kozine and Bepalan villages and Zine Werte gorge in Qandil region on April 14 night.
The guerrillas did not suffer any casualties, HPG said.
