Journalist Hesen Zaza detained by government forces in Syria

Security forces affiliated with the Syrian Transitional Government detained journalist Hesen Zaza, the representative of the International Federation of Arab Journalists in Syria.

Security forces affiliated with the Syrian Transitional Government arrested journalist Hesen Zaza, a member of the Free Press Union (YRA) General Assembly and representative of the International Federation of Arab Journalists in Syria.

According to a statement by the Free Press Union, Zaza's home was raided and he was taken to an unknown location. While no official statement was made regarding the reason for his detention, the YRA called for the journalist's immediate release.

The Free Press Union emphasized that journalists' right to work in safe and appropriate conditions must be respected. YRA also expressed its solidarity with all journalists working to uncover the truth.
