Guerrillas: Turkish army is stuck in southern Kurdistan

HPG and YJA Star guerrillas stated that the Turkish army is stuck in southern Kurdistan and doesn’t have the capacity to succeed.

Guerrillas of the HPG (People’s Defense Forces) and YJA Star (Free Women’s Troops) are resisting against the Turkish army’s attacks on southern Kurdistan, northern Iraq, not allowing the invasion forces pass.

Speaking to ANF, HPG guerrilla Rênas Amed said Turkish troops remain stuck in the areas where they entered after a wave of attacks. He continued; “They are threatening and attacking the local people. We are advancing upon them and we believe we will succeed.”

YJA Star guerrilla Ruken Bazid told that; “We are in our country and defending it. It is our primary duty to protect our land. We are fighting on this basis.”

HPG guerrilla Arnos Haymana recalled that the Turkish state which builds its existence on the denial of Kurdistan and the Kurds, has been launching intensified attacks on all parts of Kurdistan. Haymana told the following; “The Turkish state is trying to cover up its economic and political failure through military campaigns. For this reason, they are attacking everywhere savagely. However, we bear determination against this. They must know that we will enhance our resistance in every aspect and in every area.”
