Guerrillas continue to repel and inflict heavy blows on the Turkish troops engaged in an invasion attempt on Zap region over Çukurca border line.
According to the HPG's statements, dozens of soldiers have been killed during clashes since the launch of the invasion operation on Zap region of Medya Defense zones on June 16. Footage published by ANF yesterday showed the guerrillas entering the positions of Turkish soldiers in the border region.
According to local sources, the number of casualties suffered by the Turkish army is much higher than what has been announced.
The soldiers killed or wounded during the clashes here are taken to the military hospital in Hakkari which is now full to the brim due to the increasing number of casualties suffered by the Turkish army in recent days.
The dead and wounded soldiers are therefore transferred to Hakkari Public Hospital now. Local sources report that the hospital has been closed for civilians and the entry-exit points are under the control of soldiers.
HPG is expected to make a statement about the battle in the region today.
