Heavy rain in Kurdistan: Four dead

Heavy rain in northern and southern Kurdistan has led to floods. Four people died in the southern Kurdistan town of Duhok.

In several areas of Kurdistan, heavy rains have led to floods. Four people lost their lives in Duhok where, according to official figures, material damage was caused to 27 buildings and as many cars. 30 people could be rescued from the floods.

Floods also occurred in Shengal, especially in mountainous regions. Mainly families who live in tents in Sardasht and Karsa were affected by the torrential rains.

In the northern Kurdistan county town of Cizre, traffic collapsed due to flooded roads.
