People's Defense Forces Press Office (HPG-BIM) has released a statement regarding the Turkish army operation in Mount Gabar area of Şırnak going on for four days. 11 soldiers and 3 guerrillas died in clashes in this area.

HPG reported that the Turkish army launched an expansive operation in Gabar with the participation of forces from military bases in Şırnak and Siirt on November 5th. The operation against Martyr Adıl and Martyr Gülbahar cemetery was also participated by guards from Dêrgul (Kumçatı) and Qesrıkê villages.

According to the statement, Turkish troops have been deployed in a large region involving the areas of Qernê, Derîyê Gabar, Kêla Dêrşew, Tepê Bazî, Çelê Sor, Derîyê Seqet, Gırêga and Pırê Şin.

Turkish soldiers demolished the graveyard after attacking the cemetery with armored vehicles and diggers on November 6. During the day-long clashes between guerrillas and soldiers that headed towards Dola Basret area, 4 soldiers were killed and 3 guerrillas fell martyr whilst fighting.

Guerrillas also hit the soldiers deployed near Gece Erê village, but the number of casualties couldn't be verified.

Two soldiers were killed as guerrillas infiltrated into the emplacement of soldiers in Kêla Dêrşew area at 11:30 on November 7. One more soldier was killed as a result of an assassination action by guerrillas who targeted the soldiers as they retreated from the area.

A large group of Turkish troops participated the operation in Hill Fırın, Şehit Ömer, Gırê Zınar, Martyr Amed and Hill Balkon areas of Çırav region on November 7, and retreated completely the same day.

HPG concluded that a total of 11 soldiers were killed as a result of clashes and actions in this area, and provided the following ID details of the fallen guerrillas;
