HPG: 11 Turkish soldiers killed in Bitlis

The Press Office of People’s Defense Forces (HPG) released a statement announcing the details of two actions carried out by guerrillas against the Turkish army in the countryside of Bitlis province in Northern Kurdistan.
According to the statement, guerrillas put a Turkish military unit under surveillance in the vicinity of the Sate village and raided the position of the unit in the evening hours on May 2nd.
While effective strikes caused a "shock effect" and left 7 soldiers dead, a BKC, a Bora-type sniper rifle with rifle scope, an M16, night vision equipment and binoculars were confiscated from the casualties. The involved guerrilla unit returned to their base without getting harmed.
In another action, guerrillas on May 3rd hit the covert units stationed on Hill Martyr Sorxwin to provide security for the Turkish army elements that have been cutting down trees in the area of the Garzan Cemetery in Bitlis countryside. Effective strikes left 4 soldiers dead and the guerrilla unit safely returned to their base.
