HPG: 16 Turkish soldiers were killed in guerrilla actions

The press centre of the People's Defense Forces (HPG) released a statement providing information on the war in Kurdistan. According to this, guerrillas have carried out actions against the Turkish army in the north and south of Kurdistan.
"The occupiers' calculation has failed once again. Our forces are putting up incomparable resistance in the Medya Defense Zones and have carried out effective actions to make the operation launched by the Turkish colonial state with thousands of soldiers and massive weapon technology come to nothing," the HPG stated. As a result of the guerrilla actions, 16 members of the Turkish occupation forces were killed and five soldiers were injured. In addition, an attack helicopter was shot at and hit.
HPG detailed the latest guerrilla actions in various parts of Kurdistan as follows:
AMED
On 3 June, a soldier was shot dead by an HPG sniper at the Turkish base Taver in the Lice district of Amed. On 23 May, a soldier was shot dead by a sniper at the Bilbilîk base. The Turkish army launched a military operation in the Şehîd Serhed area in Lice on 1 June. The guerrillas ensured that the operation was unsuccessful and it was suspended on 3 June without further results.
AVAŞÎN
The Turkish invading forces attacked the underground guerrilla positions on the Werxelê mountain range with explosives on Tuesday and attempted an advance shortly after. The advancing unit was stopped by the guerrillas with hand grenades, firearms and heavy weapons. Forty minutes later, another action by guerrillas targeted a Turkish explosives team, detonating the explosives they were carrying and killing two soldiers in the explosion. Afterwards, the soldiers were struck with heavy weapons near the tunnel and at least four soldiers were killed in the actions.
METÎNA
At Girê Cûdî, a three-flank attack by mobile guerrilla units left seven soldiers dead and four others wounded on Tuesday. In the evening, guerrillas fired on the military helicopters flying over the area, as a result of which, one combat helicopter was badly hit and had to leave the region.
ZAP
On 7 June, Turkish units were hit by guerrillas twice with heavy weapons as they tried to approach the guerrilla tunnel in the Şehîd Şahîn area. In the same area, the Şehîd Hewrê position was massively bombed by the Turkish army, after which an advance attempt was made. The guerrillas intervened with hand grenades and firearms and forced the occupiers to retreat, while one soldier was injured. In the Şikefta Birîndara area, an attempted advance by the army was also repelled by the guerrillas. In Karker, three soldiers were shot dead by YJA Star snipers. During the night, a military sensor installed by the army in the vicinity of the tunnel site in Karker was destroyed by the guerrillas.
ATTACKS BY THE TURKISH ARMY
The guerrilla positions in Şikefta Birîndara and Şehîd Hewrê were attacked 19 times with a combination of chemical weapons and explosives on Tuesday, and nine such attacks were carried out on Werxele. The Zap region was bombed 38 times by fighter jets, Werxelê seven times. Other attacks were carried out with attack helicopters and howitzers. The surroundings of the village of Qesrokê and the Serê Metîna area were shelled from the Turkish military bases Kanî Masî and Bamernê, which are located on Iraqi territory. The area around the village of Bazê was bombed by fighter jets.
