HPG: “5 soldiers killed in Hakkari and Lêlîkan”

HPG Press Center has announced that the guerrilla has killed 5 soldiers in Hakkari and Lêlîkan in Southern Kurdistan.
HPG (People's Defense Forces) Press Center issued a written statement and said, “Our forces have carried out actions against the invading Turkish army as part of the Martyr Agirî and Martyr Pîroz Revolutionary Operation.”
The statement said the following on the actions carried out in Lêlîkan and Hakkari:
“On May 4 at 10.30, our forces carried out an action against the invaders positioned on the Lêlîkan Hill in Southern Kurdistan. Enemy positions were hit effectively in this action where 2 soldiers were killed and 1 was wounded.
On the same day at 11.40, our forces carried out an assassination action against the invading Turkish army stationed in the Deştanê valley in Hakkari’s Çelê (Çukurca) district. 1 enemy soldier was killed in the action, after which the invading Turkish army bombed the area with Howitzers and mortars.
On the same day at 14.50, our forces carried out an action against enemy soldiers stationed on the Elişer hill in Hakkari’s Gever (Yüksekova) district. The enemy unit on the hill was taken under intense fire and 2 soldiers were killed in the action as far as could be ascertained.”
