9 police were killed and 4 others wounded as a result of an action by guerrillas in Şırnak province yesterday.

HPG (People's Defense Forces) Press Office has reported that guerrillas conducted an action in response to the savage attacks of state forces in Şırnak's Cizre and Silopi districts, and in memory of 12 guerrillas brutally executed in Van province 9 days ago.

According to the HPG statement, the action with B7 rocket launchers targeted a bus carrying 22 policemen on Şırnak-Cizre highway at 18:30 yesterday evening. The bus was completely destroyed as a result of the action which left 9 police dead and 4 others wounded.
