HPG Media Center issued a written statement on guerilla actions.

HAKKARİ

HPG stated that Turkish soldiers launched an operation and carried out house raids in the villages of Qadana, Xıznê, Nêrgula, Ewliya, Dêrik, Gare and Meleyan in the Şemzinan region of Hakkari on August 13, and warplanes bombarded Gostê area between 23:00 and 00:00 on the same day. Guerilla forces responded to the soldiers’ incursion and 5 soldiers were killed during the clashes. Clashes continue in the region as Turkish soldiers bombard the area from Kobra-type helicopters.

The Media Center noted that guerillas carried out an action against a supply convoy heading to the Bilican military post in Hakkari’s Çukurca district at 05:00 on August 12, and a Reo type armored vehicle was hit during the action. The numbers of dead and injured soldiers have not yet been determined, and the soldiers caused a fire when they bombarded the area after the guerilla action.

HPG announced that guerillas burned 2 diggers belonging to Çelebi Seven, who had been warned by the guerillas for his collaboration with the Turkish state, near the construction site on the Hakkari-Van road.

ŞIRNAK

HPG Media Center stated that guerillas carried out a series of assassination actions against the soldiers at the İkizce outpost in Şırnak at 16:00 on August 13, and 3 soldiers were killed during the actions.

Guerillas also carried out an action against the soldiers at the Besta military base in Şırnak on August 12, and the numbers of dead and injured soldiers have not yet been clarified.

HPG said that guerillas seized a vehicle belonging to TEDAŞ on the road leading to Şırnak’s Beytüşşebap district at 10:00 on August 13, after the driver of the vehicle ignored the warning of the guerillas.

MUŞ

The Media Center announced that the Turkish army has been carrying out an operation near the villages of Kaniya mara, Karapungar, Hinzor, Kiranç, Keranlı and Sariç in Muş’s Varto district since August 12.

DERSİM

HPG Media Center stated that YJA STAR guerillas carried out an assassination action against the soldiers at the Kırmızı Köprü outpost in Dersim’s Pülümür district around 16:00 on August 13, and 1 soldier was killed during the action.
