People’s Defense Forces (HPG) Press Office has reported in a written statement that attacks by the Turkish army from both air and ground continue against guerrilla-held areas.

TURKISH JETS HIT GUERRILLA ZONES

HPG provided the following details regarding the bombardments conducted by Turkish jets over the following areas in PKK-held Medya Defense Zones;

- Martyr Erdal and Martyr Bager Hills in Avashin area of Medya Defense Zones were shelled at between 10.30 - 23.00 on October 18;

- Martyr Gafur, Martyr Zerdeşt, Martyr Bager and Martyr Rahime areas were shelled at between 15:00 on Oct. 19 and 04:00 on Oct. 20.

- Hill Dem at the border of Zagros region was shelled at between 00.00 - 04.00 on Oct. 20.

HOWITZER, MORTAR AND TANK ATTACKS CONTINUE

Regarding the bombardments launched from military posts at the borders of Medya Defence Zones, HPG gave the following information:

- Oremar military post in Yüksekova district of Hakkari shelled Martyr Faraşin area in Avashin at between 12.00 - 12.30 on October 19.

- Oramar military post shelled Martyr Gafur area at between 17.00 - 18.00 on October 19.

- Aruş Hill military post at Metina border shelled Duavê area at between 13.00 - 13.30 on October 19.

- Eriş military post at Zap border shelled Şelale, Gundê Zêrê, Berçella, Dola Şifreza and Hill Hakan areas at between 12.00 - 13.30, 17.00 - 17.30 and 20.00 - 20.30 on October 19.

- Bilican military post shelled its surroundings at between 15.00 - 16.00 on October 19.

- Serê Sevê military post shelled Hill Cehennem at between 23.00 - 23.30 on October 19.

TURKISH AERIAL ACTIVITY CONTINUES CEASELESSLY

HPG went on providing the details regarding the reconnaissance flights carried out by Turkish unmanned vehicles over the following guerrilla areas;

- Amediye - Gundê Fılleha - Zap Martyrs' Cemetery area at between 07.00 - 18.00 on October 19,

- Metina area at between 19.30 - 22.30 October 19,

- Çemço area in Zap region at between 17.30 - 20.30 October 19,

- Garê area at between 07.30 - 17.30 on October 19 and at between 19:30 of October 19 and 06:00 of October 20,

- Zap region at between 06:00 of October 19 and 06:00 of October 20.

HPG lastly reported an intense activity by Turkish jets over the following areas;

- Xakurkê at between 19.30 - 20.30 October 19,

- Heftanin area at between 19.00 - 20.00 October 19,

- Zap region at between 17.30 - 22.00 October 19.
