According to the HPG statement, Turkish troops opened tank fire at a guerrilla group near Hill Kewanê in Botan's Gabar area on 21 November. HPG guerrilla Şoreş Botan fell a martyr as a result of the attack which took place at 20:00 local time.
On 22 November, soldiers were airdropped into the area by helicopters, but the operation was retreated the same day, after which troops at Zevê and Keraşa battalions bombed the scene with howitzer and mortar fire.
In the meantime, two guerrillas were ambushed by Turkish troops while on their way to Bateytê village of Amed's Hani district at 10:30 on 22 November.
While one of the guerrillas -Şevger Çalak- fell here, the other managed to reach his base safely.
On the other hand, guerrillas conducted a sabotage action against a Turkish military unit performing road control near Derik vilage in Varto district of Muş at 08:00 on 23 November.
Four soldiers were killed and six others were wounded as a result of the action after which Turkish troops started an operation which was retreated inconclusively in the evening.
HPG reported that Oremar guard post at the border to Avashin area of guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones shelled the following locations yesterday;
- surrounding areas between 10.00 – 12.00,
- Hill Martyr Gafur between 22.00 – 00.00,
- surroundings of Hill Martyr Rahime as well as the areas of Dola Satê, Dola Martyr Rahime and Dola Martyr Afad between 20:00 yesterday evening and 03:00 last night.
In another development, Hill Sor outpost near Metina border shelled Martyr Şoreş and Martyr Mazlum hills between 14.00 - 15.00 yesterday.
Turkish aircraft performed reconnaissance activities over Avashin area between 14.00 – 22.30, and Zap region between 12.30 - 22.30 yesterday.
The statement also reported an activity of Turkish warplanes over;
- Avashin area between 14.00 – 22.00,
- Zap region between 13.00 – 13.30 yesterday, and from 19:30 yesterday to 02:00 at night.
