People’s Defence Forces (HPG) guerrillas took action against Turkish army positions in rural Cukurca in Hakkari province.

HPG Press and Communication Centre released a statement about guerrilla actions in Hakkari and Turkish airstrikes in Southern Kurdistan.
According to the statement, HPG guerrillas targeted Cepere Sexa military outpost in rural Cukurca, a district of Hakkari province. Guerrillas attacked army positions and killed a number of soldiers.
HPG said the exact number of Turkish casualties could not be determined.
Turkish army attacked areas around Ore village with howitzers and mortars after the action.
HPG also reported that two guerrillas lost their lives in a Turkish airstrike in guerrilla areas on December 29. Guerrillas were identified as Mahmut Selcuk (Gelhat Babindak) and Yunus Celik (Keskin Memita).
