HPG hits the Turkish army in Cukurca and Lelikan

HPG Press Office announced the results of guerrilla actions in Cukurca and Lelikan.

The Press and Communications Center of People’s Defense Forces (HPG-BIM) released a statement announcing the results of guerrilla actions in northern and southern Kurdistan.

As part of the Martyr Agirî and Martry Pîroz Revolutionary Campaign, our forces carried out actions against the invading Turkish army on May 3.

“At around 08:30, our forces hit the enemy soldiers on Koordine Hill in Hakkari’s Çelê (Çukurca) district. The emplacements of soldiers came under intense fire and the number of dead and wounded soldiers couldn’t be clarified.

Our forces carried out another action against invaders on Hill Xeregol in Hakkari’s Çukurca district. The positions of the enemy were hit effectively from three directions, as a result of which 3 emplacements were destroyed, while the number of dead and wounded soldiers couldn’t be clarified.

At 08:40, our forces carried out a targeted actions against soldiers of the invading Turkish army in the hamlet of Elidirej in Lelikan region within the boundaries of southern Kurdistan. One soldier was killed as a result.

The same day, two other Turkish soldiers were killed as a result of targeted actions on Hill Lelikan in the afternoon.”
