HPG: Nine Turkish soldiers killed in guerrilla actions

According to the HPG information, nine Turkish soldiers were killed and one drone was shot down during actions in the guerrilla areas in northern Iraq.

According to the statement published by the press centre of the People's Defence Forces (HPG) on Friday, nine soldiers were killed and one drone was destroyed as a result of the guerrilla actions against the Turkish occupation forces in the guerrilla-held Medya Defence Zones in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq).

The Turkish army attacked the guerrilla areas twice with unconventional bombs with high explosive power. At the same time, three waves of attacks were carried out from the air and dozens of attacks were carried out with artillery, tanks and heavy weapons.

The HPG detailed the latest guerrilla actions as follows:

"As part of the revolutionary offensive Bazên Zagrosê, in the Zap region on 10 November:

At 1.00 a.m. in the resistance area of Çemço, two members of the occupation forces were killed by snipers from our mobile units.

At 8.30 a.m. in the resistance area of Sîda, occupation troops were struck by our mobile units with heavy weapons.

At 11:00 in the Çemço resistance area, three members of the occupation forces were killed in an action carried out by our mobile units with heavy weapons.

At 11.30 a.m. in the Çemço resistance area, one member of the occupation forces was killed by snipers from our mobile units.

At 12:00 in the Saca resistance area, a member of the occupation forces was killed by snipers from our mobile units.

At 9.20 pm in the resistance area of Çemço, members of the occupation forces were shot at and hit by our mobile units with assault rifles."

The HPG also reported an action by guerrillas from the Free Women's Troops (YJA Star) in the Xakurke region, where a Turkish military unit was struck with heavy weapons on 10 November.

In the Girê Cûdî resistance area, a Turkish drone was shot down and destroyed by the YJA Star guerrillas on 9 November as it circled over the guerrillas' Şehîd Yunus positions.

On 10 November, in another guerrilla action, a member of the occupation forces was killed by snipers from a mobile guerrilla unit. Later in the day, a mobile guerrilla unit hit Turkish occupation forces with heavy weapons. In another action around the Şehîd Çekdar guerrilla positions, a Turkish soldier was killed by a mobile unit.

On the other hand, the Turkish army has continued its attacks with unconventional weapons and chemical weapons over the past two days. On 10 November, the Şehîd Felat positions in the resistance area of Sîda were attacked with high explosive unconventional bombs between 10.30 and 11.00 am. On the same day, the area around Serê Metîna and around Girê Bihar was attacked three times by fighter jets. The areas of Çemço, Şehîd Fedakar, Girê Amêdî and Girê FM were shelled with howitzers, tanks and heavy weapons.
