HPG pays tribute to two guerrillas martyred in Avashin

HPG expressed their condolences to the patriotic Kurdistan people and families of the martyrs.

HPG Press Center (HPG-BIM) disclosed the identity of two female guerrillas who fell martyr as a result of an air strike by the Turkish state in early January.

HPG-BIM said in a written statement: "As a result of the attacks carried out by the Turkish Army on Avashin region of Defense Medya Zones on 2 January, two of our friends have fallen martyrs."

In the statement the HPG said: "Comrades Amara and Ararat came from Rojava and Bakur to ensure the freedom of our people against the invasion of the colonial Turkish state in Kurdistan.

We commemorate our comrades who carried out a relentless struggle against the enemy with the fire of freedom in their hearts.

We express our condolences to the patriotic Kurdistan people, especially the families of our precious martyrs."
