The HPG Press Communication Center (HPG-BİM) said that “in order to counter the Turkish state occupation operations on South Kurdistan, they have launched the Şehit Agirî and Şehit Pîroz Revolutionary Attacks”.
HPG also provided information on the actions it carried out against the Turkish army in many regions, especially Lêlîkan.
On Friday, the HPG-BİM reported that after an eight-guerrillas patrol engaged fire in Lêlîkan hill, seven locations were destroyed and 34 soldiers were killed.
The statement on this actions details the following:
"Our forces have launched a comprehensive action against the invading forces located on Lêlîkan hill on April 27 at 12pm. The enemy positions, under attack, engaged fire with an 8-guerrillas patrol, and were also attacked by 2 separate guerrilla patrols. Our guerrillas have destroyed many of the enemy's positions as a result of effective hits. Our forces have made effective strikes, destroyed 7 locations on the hill, and killed 34 enemy soldiers. After the action, the occupying Turkish army bombarded the region with warplanes, warheads and mortars”.
On the same day, at around 6am, it was reported that guerrilla forces carried out an action against "enemy troops" in the Xeregol hill of Çukurca (Çele) district of Hakkari.
HPG-BIM shared the following information on this action:
"Two positions were destroyed in this actions, following long clashes. However the number dead and injured soldiers has not been established”.
The HPG-BİM also stated that on 27 April, an action was carried out against the occupying forces located at the top of Elişêr, Hakkari district of Yüksekova (Gever), at 9.20am.
The statement said:
“In this action, enemy positions in the hill were successfully attacked, two positions were destroyed, including one equipped with A4 heavy weapon, and three soldiers were killed".
A guerrilla action was carried out on Friday in Cizre. It was reported that a soldier was killed in the action.
Details are as follows:
"On 27 April, our forces carrying out the Şehit Delal and Besta Martyrs Revolutionary Attacks, have organized an assassination attempt on a unit of the occupying Turkish army located in Girê Cizirê district of Cizre (Şırnak). In this action, one enemy soldier was killed.
The HPG-BİM also provided the following details in relation to guerrilla actions on 26 April:
"At 11.45am, the YJA Star forces carried out an action against the occupation of the invading Turkish army on the hill of Lêlîkan, located on the southern Kurdistan border. One soldier was killed and three soldiers were wounded in this action after the enemy positions were successfully attacked.
After the action, the occupying Turkish army bombarded the area of Xakurkê with mortars.
At 13pm, our forces carried out an action against a group of occupying Turkish troops in the Tepê Sor area of Hakkari's Çel (Çukurca) district of Deştanê. The enemy’s positions came under intense fire, however we could not establish the number of dead and wounded soldiers”.
