HPG reports ongoing guerrilla actions against the Turkish army

Two soldiers of the Turkish army were killed in a guerrilla action, one soldier was injured in Southern Kurdistan where the invading forces continue to use prohibited combat equipment against guerrilla positions.

According to the Press Centre of the People's Defence Forces (HPG), two of the soldiers of the Turkish invading forces were killed in a guerrilla action in southern Kurdistan, and one other soldier was injured. The action took place on 2 November in the Werxelê resistance area in the Avaşîn region where mobile guerrilla teams realised an ambush laid by the Turkish army and then hit the invading forces. In another action on 4 November, guerrillas struck the occupying forces with heavy weapons in the resistance area of Şehîd Adil in the Zap region. At Girê Cûdî, the guerrillas prevented an air attack on Friday by firing on a helicopter squadron on an attack flight and forcing it to retreat.

Attacks by the Turkish army

The Turkish army carried out massive attacks on the regions of Zap, Metîna, Gare and Avaşîn in the guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in Southern Kurdistan on Friday. A prohibited bomb with extremely high impact power was used against the Şehîd Felat position in Sîda, followed by an attack with chemical agents half an hour later.

The areas of Dola Meranê in Gare and the areas of Golka, Girê Çarçel and Girê Bihar in Metîna were bombed a total of nine times by fighter jets. 18 helicopter attacks were carried out on Girê Amêdî and Girê Cûdî.

Dozens of other attacks were carried out with tanks, howitzers, mortars and heavy weapons on the areas of Çemço, Sîda, Werxelê, Girê Amêdî, Girê Cûdî and Girê FM.
