HPG reports Turkish airstrikes on guerrilla zones

HPG/YJA Star guerrillas carried out an action against soldiers in Çukurca, while the Turkish army bombarded guerrilla zones with fighter jets.

HPG Press Office released a statement about the ongoing actions by guerrillas and attacks by the Turkish army.

According to the statement, guerrillas hit the soldiers on Koordine hill in Hakkari's Çukurca district with mortars at 13:00 on November 2. The number of dead or wounded soldiers couldn't be clarified.

At 15:00 on November 2, a brief clash erupted between guerrillas and Turkish soldiers near Tilek village in Dersim's Ovacık district. Guerrillas returned to their base after the clash.

On the other hand, Turkish fighter jets bombarded the Qela Bêdê area, Martyr Munzur hill sides, Sıpê and Berçelan village in Zap region of guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in Southern Kurdistan territory at 11:00 on November 1.

Turkish jets once again shelled Qela Bêdê and Martyr Munzur hill between 02:30 – 03:00 on November 3 night.

Again on November 3, Turkish jets bombed the Şukê hamlet in Avashin region between 02.00 – 03.00.
