People's Defense Forces Press Office (HPG-BIM) has released a written statement about the ongoing attacks by the Turkish army, and actions by guerrillas in response.

HPG said guerrillas conducted an action against a Turkish troop on Hill Martyr Bager earlier this morning. 6 soldiers were killed in the action after which Turkish forces shelled Martyr Rahime, Satê and Martyr Afad areas with mortar fire and heavy weaponry, while an intense activity of helicopters also took place.

ARMORED VEHICLE DAMAGED

HPG reported that guerrillas carried out a sabotage action against a military convoy as it passed by Kurtê village on Amed-Farqin road at 11:00 yesterday morning. While an armored vehicle was damaged in the action, the number of casualties couldn't be verified.

OPERATION RETREATED IN KIZILTEPE

HPG statement informed that the Turkish army started an operation around Bıloka village of Mardin's Kızıltepe district after airdropping soldiers in the region on 15 November. The operation was retreated inconclusively on 19 November.

BOMBARDMENTS AGAINST GUERRILLA AREAS CONTINUE

HPG continued by providing the following details regarding the ongoing bombardments by the Turkish military against guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones;

Hill Sivri outpost at the border to Avashin area shelled Hill Sor and Herki village between 09.00 - 11.00 yesterday.

Troops deployed around Martyr Kendal area at the border to Heftanin bombed Dola Kuraniş area between 14.00 – 15.00 yesterday, and Deriyê Davetiya area between 18.00 – 19.00.

Hill Sor outpost at the border to Metina bombed Martyr Şoreş, Martyr Mazlum and Hill Hakkari areas between 11.00 - 11.30 and 21.00 – 22.30 yesterday.

On the other hand, troops at Korxê and Bılbılokê outposts in Amed's Lice district have been bombing Martyr Serxwebun and Apê Musa areas for the last two days.
