HPG statement on guerrilla actions in Bakur and Bashur

Guerrillas of the HPG targeted Turkish military in Bakur (northern) and Bashur (southern) Kurdistan.

HPG Press and Communications Center released a statement about the actions carried out by guerrillas against Turkish military in Bakur (northern) and Bashur (southern) Kurdistan.

The statement by HPG Press Office said the following;

SOUTH KURDISTAN

At around 12:30 on April 10, our forces carried out an action against Turkish military units on Hill Lelikan within southern Kurdistan boundaries. While the enemy soldiers came under intense fire, the number of soldiers killed or wounded in this action couldn’t be clarified. At 14:40 in the afternoon, our forces carried out a sabotage action against invading soldiers on Hill Lelikan. The number of soldiers killed or wounded in this action couldn’t be clarified either.

At 09:30 on April 11 (today) our forces have targeted Hill Lelikan once again. An explosion occurred in an emplacement that was hit effectively in this action. The number of dead and wounded soldiers couldn’t be clarified.

NORTH KURDISTAN

At 12:30 on April 10, our forces carried out a targeted action against a Turkish military unit deployed in Mergelo area in Şex Cuma region of Bitlis. One Turkish soldier was killed in this action. Another soldier was killed in a sabotage action in Martyr Adıl valley at 20:30 in the evening.

On the other hand, guerrillas targeted the high-tension line of a thermal power plant in Şırnak’s Silopi district at 07:00 on April 1st. One pylon was destroyed in this action.
