HPG: Three Turkish soldiers were killed in Xakurke

Three soldiers were killed as guerrillas hit a Turkish army position in Xakurke region in Medya Defense Zones.

The Press Centre of the People's Defence Forces (HPG) reported that three soldiers were killed as guerrillas struck a summit position of the Turkish army in Xakurke region of the guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq). According to the HPG, the action at Girê Kevortê was carried out last Friday and led to the complete destruction of the position. Two surveillance cameras were also destroyed.

According to the HPG, the Turkish air force bombed several targets in the Medya Defense Zones yesterday (Sunday). Affected by the airstrikes were the Kafya area in Gare, as well as vicinity of the Zap River and the Sîda area.
