People’s Defense Forces (HPG) Press Office has said in a written statement that Turkish jets shelled Martyr Bager in Avashin area and the villages of Bolê, Fılê, Enzê Xobyan in Qandil region of the guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones yesterday as they targeted civilian settlements.

HPG said Turkish jets shelled Martyr Bager area at the border of Avashin at between 09.00 - 09.30 on October 16, as well as the villages of Bolê, Fılê, Enzê and Xobyan in Qandil region at between 21.00 - 23.00 the same day. HPG reported that the bombardments, which targeted the civilian settlement, caused no losses of life, however fields of the villagers were destroyed.

HPG went on reporting the bombardments launched from military posts at the borders of Medya Defence Zones with howitzers, tanks and mortars. Accordingly;

Mamreş military post at Avashin border shelled Mergê and Hill Ronahi areas at between 19:00 - 21.30 on October 16.

Oremar and Bilican military posts shelled Şukê, Martyr Gafur, Martyr Faraşin, Martyr Bager and Martyr Alişer areas at between 05.00 - 18.30 on October 16.

Bilican military post shelled Arıs Farıs village at between 05.30 - 06.00 on October 17.

Eriş military post shelled Mamreşo Hill at between 06.00 - 07.00 on October 17.

Oremar military post shelled Martyr Gafur area at between 10.00 - 11.00 on October 17.

Bilican and Eriş military post at Zap border shelled Garêya Piçuk and Şelale areas at between 10.00 - 11.00 on October 16.

Bilican military post shelled its surroundings at between 15.30 - 17.30 on October 16.

Bilican military post shelled Hill Martyr Neval, Hill Güvenlik and Erciş village at between 17.00 - 18.30 on October 16, and at between 05.00 - 08.30 on October 17.

Serêsevê and Eriş military posts shelled Çiyayê Reş area at between 04.30 - 07.00 October 17.

Serêsevê military post shelled the surroundings of Zap Martyrs' Cemetery at between 07.00 - 07.30 October 17.

Rubarok military post at Xakurkê border shelled surroundings of Martyr Beritan Cemetery, Dola Mustafa and Hill Karkerê Başur areas at between 08.30 - 09.00 October 17.

HPG listed the following guerrilla-held areas where reconnaissance flights were carried out by Turkish unmanned vehicles;

- Avashin area at between 09.30 - 00.00 on October 16,

- Qandil region at between 18.30 - 23.30 on October 16,

- Xakurkê area at between 19.00 - 00.00 on October 16.

HPG listed the following guerrilla-held areas where an activity of Turkish jets took place;

- Zap region at between 09.00 - 12.30 and 18.30 - 00.00 on October 16,

- Metina area at between 23.00 - 00.00 on October 16,

- Avashin area at between 06.00 - 08.00 on October 17.

HPG lastly reported that Bespin military post in Silopi district of Şırnak has continuously shelled Cudi area with mortars, tanks and howitzers since October 12.
