HPG (People's Defense Forces) Press Office reported ongoing attacks by the Turkish state against guerrillas and their graveyards.
The statement saidthat thousands of soldiers participated in an operation launched in Faraşin region of Şırnak's Beytüşşebap district on 12 November.
Turkish jets shelled the Martyr Welat, Kunavê, Kani Masi, Kaniya Şkêr, Beresih and Kacırt areas in Faraşin region in the morning hours of 12 November. Simultaneously with the bombing, a military operation was started in the region with the participation of 5 thousand soldiers and village guards.
The troops also attacked the 'Martyr Rojin Gevda and Martyr Mehmet Goyi Cemetery' and demolished the graves of fallen guerrillas and the mosque in the graveyard.
HPG said guerrillas conducted an action against a special operation unit participating in an operation in Martyr Serfiraz region of Hatay's İskenderun district at 07:00 yesterday morning. Two special operation members were killed in the action.
HPG also reported ongoing bombardments by Turkish jets from the air and troops from the ground. Accordingly, the following attacks were conducted against the guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in South Kurdistan territory;
Elemun guard post at the border to Metina shelled Zendura area between 14.00 – 17.00 on 14 November.
Eriş guard post at the border to Zap shelled Hill Xeregol between 08.00 – 08.30 on 15 November.
Bilican guard post at the border to Zap shelled Garêya Piçuk area between 14.30 – 15.00.
Hill Yekmal and Hill Sinek guard posts at the border to Heftanin shelled Bektorya area between 18:00 on 14 November and 15:00 yesterday.
Hill Maymun guard post at the border to Heftanin shelled Derîyê Davetîya area and Hill Martyr Rênas between 14.00 – 15.00 yesterday.
On the other hand, Hill Martyr Kahraman in Medya Defense Zones was bombed by Turkish jets between 10.30 - 11.00 yesterday.
HPG also reported an intense reconnaissance activity over the following guerrilla areas;
- Metina between 11.30 – 19.00 yesterday,
- Heftanin between 12.00 - 15.00 yesterday,
- Zap region between 07:00 yesterday and 11:00 today.
